Greenville Fall Scholastic Chess Tournament 2018

Saturday, October 6th, 2018

Location: Green Charter School, 1440 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615

Entry Fee: $15 if received by October 4, 2018; $20 after. Sets provided; bring a clock if you have one.

USCF membership required. Please bring your membership card to the event. See information below to obtain USCF membership. Please include payment with registration.

Sections: K – 2nd grade & USCF rating under 700; K – 4th grade & USCF rating under 800;
K – 6th grade & USCF rating under 900; K -- 8th grade & USCF rating under 1100; K-12th grade / Open

5 rounds, G/25, d5, Swiss System – no one is eliminated, but byes may occur. Participants may play in a higher section, but not below their grade level. Section assignments may be adjusted based on number of participants. Prizes: Trophies to the top three in each section.

Final Registration and Check-in 8:00 am – 8:45 am.
(Anyone not registered by 8:45 am will not be paired for the first round, but may play the remainder.)

Time Control: G25, d5 (25 min each, 5 second delay)

9:00- 10:00 Round 1
10:15- 11:15 Round 2
11:30- 12:30 Round 3
12:30 – 1:30 LUNCH
1:30 – 2:30 Round 4
2:45 – 3:45 Round 5
ASAP: Awards and Closing Remarks

Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the schedule as needed. Restaurants are nearby.
